  Herbal Basics
When Tea is Just Tea

(Infusions, Decoctions and more) – what’s it all mean?

This class is a chance to find out why a store bought tea may not be the same as an herbal tea you make at home.  Learn how to prepare leaf or flower teas and root teas, teas from fresh herb ingredients or teas from dried herb stock. Learn how an infusion, decoction, simple and compound teas are different and how you can make them yourself. Learn how teas are used as part of ‘Spring Tonics’ every year. An easy and fun class to help get you started and help answer your questions. Taste testing included.

Class time is approximately 2 hours. This class may be a little hand’s on, but will provide demonstrations and hand outs to help you repeat what you learn at home. Time may be extended slightly if needed to accommodate questions and discussion.

A brief overview of the methods of filling capsules will be shown and a chance to try a bit of hands on as well will be offered.
